When you install and use our Cart Progress Bar app, we process:
- Shop Domain: Your Shopify store's domain name to identify your account
- Progress Bar Settings: Your custom messages, styling preferences, and display rules
- Product/Collection Selection: Only when you specifically choose which products or collections to target
- Progress Bars Configurations: Your progress bar settings, goals, and discount rules
Important: All this data is stored directly in your Shopify store's metafields, not in our external database. This means your data remains within your Shopify account and is subject to Shopify's data protection policies.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Display progress bars on your store's product pages
- Save and manage your progress bar configurations
- Generate discounts based on your progress bar settings
- Provide the app functionality you've requested
- Optimize performance through caching and metafield storage
Data Storage & Security
- Your progress bar data is stored directly in your Shopify store's metafields
- This means your data remains within your Shopify account and is protected by Shopify's security measures
- We temporarily process your data to configure and display progress bars, but do not store it in external databases
- All data transmissions are encrypted (HTTPS)
- We never sell or share your data with third parties
Your Rights
You can:
- View and modify your progress bar settings anytime through the app
- Delete your progress bars configurations
- Uninstall the app to stop all data processing
What We Don't Collect
We do not:
- Track your customers' personal information
- Monitor customer behavior or purchases
- Access your financial or payment data
- Store your inventory data (accessed only when displaying progress bars)
- Collect customer email addresses or personal details
Data Retention
- Your progress bar settings are stored in your Shopify metafields
- We do not retain any of your data in external systems after app uninstallation
- Temporary cache data is automatically cleared after 15 minutes
